Assignments/Evaluation

ALL students are expected to attend all scheduled events and complete course readings.

Yuyachkani asks that ALL students submit a written (or otherwise documented) response to their experience of the course to Yuyachkani by the end of August. (Details on where and to whom to send the responses tba). For those taking the course for credit, this response can be based on your research for the course.

Students taking the course for credit will complete the following

  1. a preliminary research proposal to post to our forum, and share with the class on August 20 (10%)

  2. a 20-minute oral presentation, with accompanying visual documentation, on a reserach topic related to the course. The date of the presentation will be in the first week of September (tba) in the department of Performance Studies at NYU.

  3. The presentation should define a clear research question, present substantial research (conducted in Lima and/or in available libraries and archives), and should be well organized, persuasive and well-rehearsed. (40%)

  4. A textual/multimedia version of the presentation will be submitted to the online course archive, due date TBA. (20%)

  5. Participation, performance, punctuality (30%)
