Director of the Church of Stop Shopping, a radical performance community that uses the styles of fundamentalist televangelism and works within the tradition of The Civil Rights Movement, The Liberation priesthood of Latin America and ACT-UP.

Exorcism of MacDonald's
The doors of a downtown Buenos Aires MacDonald's were locked when management saw a large crowd of people approaching. On the sidewalk, Reverend Billy addressed his followers and improvised a sermon to exorcise the fast-food store by placing his hands on the glass doors and inviting the crowd to join him in expelling the demons of globalization.
