Niki Kekos comes to us from the A.S. Onassis Program in Hellenic Studies where she served as the Administrator and also as Assistant Director of the NYU in Athens Program for the past seven years. She completed her MA in Performance Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts in 2008. Her MA thesis dealt with the representations of self, sexuality and Greek-American identity through photography. Her main interests include exploring hyphenated American identity through loss, mourning and melancholia; the performativity of dictatorships and student uprisings; and intercultural musical exchange across continents. She is THRILLED to be part of the Hemispheric Team!
