
e-misférica, Performance and Politics in the Americas is a peer-reviewed, biannual publication that includes essays, multi-media presentations, and reviews and that seeks to foster dialogue and scholarly innovation between academics, artists, and activists from throughout the Americas. Issues are thematically structured and prepared by the editors around topics that explore the different uses and interrelations between performance and politics in the western hemisphere.
Submit:
e-misférica welcomes submissions of essays, artist presentations, and reviews. Please consult the guidelines below for more information. Submissions are understood to be original, unpublished, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The journal issues calls for papers two times per year (below) that outline themes and deadlines.

If you are interested in contributing to e-misférica's Reviews section, comprising reviews of books, performances, and/or other materials related to performance in the Americas, please send a CV to hemi.ejournal@nyu.edu, along with a brief statement indicating specific areas of interest (i.e., theatre, dance, performance art, anthropology, political science, etc.). Please send all texts as Word documents. Include a writing sample.
