Kiyan Williams is a multidisciplinary artist who unearths counterhegemonic notions of identity, history, and sociality. They create performance, video, sculpture, and text informed by autoethnography and archival research. Kiyan was born in Newark, New Jersey. Their work has been exhibited at the SculptureCenter, The Jewish Museum, Dixon Place, La Mama Experimental Theater Club, and SOMArts. Kiyan received a BA from Stanford University and an MFA in Visual Art from Columbia University.
