Reclaim this austere, low-tech mask—recently made a visible worldwide emblem of fear and panic— with the questions: Whose fear? Whose voice? Whose cover up? Should the media’s Flu-of the-Month scares direct our energy and attention?
Jay Critchley is an artist and activist based in Provincetown, Massachusetts, United States. He has had recent residencies at Harvard University, AS220 in Rhode Island, and Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center in New York City.
