The Fury of the Gods
The Fury of the Gods is an exercise in pop blasphemy. An ecclesiastical experiment in heathenism. Written and Performed by Susana Cook. Religious rhetoric is often used by the Christian right to deny equal rights to certain citizens. "The Fury of the Gods" is a sharp political satire of biblical proportions that skewers the sacred and eviscerates evangelical fundamentalism suggesting that it may be the principal obstacle that stands in the way to intercultural understanding, creating a rhetoric of the state in order to justify segregation and oppression.
