Manifestations

How are performances mobilized in civic, community, and cultural contexts to create manifold forms of political expression? How do public, theatrical events produce ‘evidence’ that manifests ideas otherwise invisible, hidden, or unspeakable? What new manifestations emerge via our changing visions of political spaces, intellectual arenas, and the everyday street? Below is a partial list of documentation of reactions, protests, dialogues, and other creative exchanges between Encuentro participants. These events were not curated as part of the original program, but rather emerged through the efforts of groups and individuals who sought to open spaces for dialogue and critique throughout the Encuentro.
