Papero

Papero is a street performance born with the intention of demonstrating the discontent with the social injustices happening in Colombia, specifically, the Colombian authorities’ unnecessary use of force and brutality against the protesters. Papero was also created to support the national agricultural strike.

Biography

Mateo Galindo Torres is a dance artist, choreographer, photographer and political activist. Most recently, he has performed and worked with Frog in Hand, Jacob Niedzwiecki, Toronto Heritage Dance, Janak Khendry and Lisa Emmons. Torres is a CADA member and currently part of Peggy Baker Dance Projects.
