El Yunque (2002)

Charles Rice-González narrates a story about a young male Nuyorican's journey from the South Bronx to the El Yunque rain forest in northeastern Puerto Rico, while dancers enact and bring to life the story through movement phrases. Themes surrounding homosexual desire, cross-cultural identity, and nationhood are raised throughout the performance.
