Baron and Esther have lost their house. Dreamer knows Pacoima is all good. Low knows Pacoima is all bad. Candy isn't sure. This Pacoima tale of optimism follows the journey of a family confronted with the community they cannot run away from. Through a madcap adventure with dueling car washes, a scary bus stop, and a street vendor with stories to tell, they discover that there is no place like home and that every community has troubles and treasures. A collaboration with Pacoima, a working class neighborhood in the northeast cornerstone of the city of Los Angeles, this play was created using Cornerstone’s Story-Circle methodology. The cast of 54 included 43 local residents and 8 more community members worked backstage. Performed at Project Youth Green Community Garden in Pacoima's Jessup Park.
