Pewma
La obra se basa en un tipo particular de sueño, el pewma, que tiene el poder de transmitir mensajes a quien lo sueña. A través del sueño se vive y se actúa en el presente la memoria del Pueblo Mapuche que acarrea la experiencia traumática del genocidio.

El Proyecto de Teatro Mapuche (Miriam Álvarez, Lorena Cañuqueo y Carolina Sorín) es una propuesta de teatro político que se desarrolla desde el 2001, enmarcada en el planteo general del movimiento mapuche contemporáneo con base en Bariloche, provincia de Río Negro, Argentina.
Pewma
The play is based on a particular type of dream, the pewma, which has the power of transmitting messages to its dreamer. The memory of the Mapuche people, heavy with the traumatic experience of genocide, is performed in the present through this dream.
Biography
The Mapuche Theater Project (led by Miriam Álvarez, Lorena Cañuqueo and Carolina Sorín) is a political theater project founded in 2001, framed within the general contemporary indigenous Mapuche movement in Bariloche, Río Negro province, Argentina.
