Liberating the Archive: An Interview with Andy Bichlbaum of the Yes Men by Marcial Godoy-Anativia

Jacques Servin (also known as Andy Bichlbaum) is a co-founder of the Yes Men, a group that has accomplished numerous high-profile media interventions since 1999. Their exploits in "identity correction" are documented in the films The Yes Men and The Yes Men Fix the World. Jacques also heads the Yes Lab, a workshop to help activist groups carry out media-getting creative actions on their own, at the Hemispheric Institute, and is a Visiting Associate Arts Professor in Performance Studies at NYU.

Marcial Godoy-Anativia is a sociocultural anthropologist and the Associate Director of the Hemispheric Institute; he is also Editor, with Jill Lane, of e-misférica. Recent publications include “Between the Hammer and the Anvil: Middle East Studies in the Aftermath of 9/11,” (with Seteney Shami), “We Are Living in a Time of Pillage: A Conversation with Carlos Monsiváis” and Ciudades Translocales: Espacios, flujo, representación—Perspectivas desde las Américas, co-edited with Rossana Reguillo.
